POSITION TITLE: Adult Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program Specialist- (CPRP/ CFRP)
REPORTS TO: PRP Director
DEPARTMENT: Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP)
Location: In-office, community; hybrid
Job Type: Part-time, Contractor 20hrs weekly
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Psychiatric Rehabilitation Group coordinator plays a crucial role in organizing program services and support to ensure that clients' needs are met, focusing on strengthening decision-making skills, fostering personal and professional growth, and navigating community resources through the assistance of their Rehabilitation Coordinator.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee Group departments Implementation:
- Ensure the effective implementation of group department rehabilitation services.
- Provide oversight on clinical direction to group facilitators to ensure services are effective.
- Adhering to COMAR (Code of Maryland Regulations) guidelines.
- Scheduling of PRP Groups
- Ensure timely communication of group schedules to participants and staff.
- Promotion of group services to external referral sources, as applicable
- Document Review:
- Conduct ongoing review of both online and office-based client services and session documentation
- Collect, review, and sign monthly staff invoices and program documentation forms for accuracy before submission.
- Client Progress Monitoring:
- Review and sign client progress notes, individual rehabilitation plans (IRPs), and monthly summaries.
- Educate rehabilitation coordinators on providing services that are aligned with individual IRP goals.
- Staff Management and Development:
- Conduct monthly staff meetings for planning and assessing staff development.
- Organize on-site and coordinate off-site training as needed.
- Assign caseloads to staff and conduct ongoing assessments of performance.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the group facilitators within the department.
- Monitor the implementation of group programs, ensuring they align with the organization's mission and goals.
- Regularly assess the effectiveness of group interventions and make recommendations for improvement.
- Compliance and Reinforcement:
- Reinforce company policies, COMAR and CARF regulatory requirements, and other regulatory agency standards.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Meet with the program director monthly to present updates, discuss staff and program concerns, and address regulatory issues.
- Attend monthly team meetings for collaborative planning and communication.
- Manage and coordinate administrative tasks related to the Psychiatric Rehabilitation Group Department.
- Maintain accurate records of group attendance, progress notes, and other relevant documentation.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
- Hiring, Termination, and Supervision:
- Participate in the recruitment and hiring process for group facilitators.
- Provide orientation and training to new hires within the department.
- Conduct regular supervision sessions and performance evaluations for group facilitators.
- Address performance issues promptly and, if necessary, facilitate terminations in accordance with organizational policies.
- Experience and Education Requirements:
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience in an outpatient setting.
- CPRP Certification required
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience in an outpatient setting.
