We are looking for a motivated registered nurse to join our busy pain management practice to work in our ambulatory surgery center on an as needed basis.
Job Summary: The Registered Nurse plays a crucial role in the delivery of high-quality patient care during various pain management procedures. Working closely with a multidisciplinary team, the RN provides comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing surgeries, injections, and other interventional procedures. The nurse ensures the safety, comfort, and well-being of patients while adhering to established protocols and standards of practice.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Assessment:
- Conduct pre-operative assessments, reviewing medical histories, allergies, and current medications.
- Assess patients' physical and emotional status to create an individualized care plan.
- Monitor vital signs, pain levels, and other relevant parameters before, during, and after procedures.
Intraoperative Care:
- Assist physician during certain pain management procedures.
- Monitor patients' responses to interventions, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Maintain a sterile environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
Postoperative Care:
- Assess and manage pain levels, providing appropriate pain relief interventions.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure timely discharge and post-operative follow-up.
Patient Education:
- Educate patients and their families about the planned procedures, expected outcomes, and post-operative care instructions.
- Address patients' concerns and questions regarding their procedures and recovery.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals, providing concise and relevant updates on patients' conditions.
- Complete required documentation for regulatory compliance and billing purposes.
Quality Improvement:
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, suggesting and implementing changes to enhance patient care and safety.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in pain management and ambulatory surgery nursing practices.
Compliance and Safety:
Salary : $30 - $35
