Augustine Consulting, Inc. is a Woman-Owned Small Business professional services provider of engineering and technical services to the United States Government. We seek an experienced Software Test Engineer/Test Engineer to serve as part of ACI’s Government Program that supports Product Management Integrated Visual Augmentation System (IVAS).
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct integration and test activities of application software on multiple platforms.
- Develop detailed Software Test Plans and prepare Test Reports.
- Evaluate test data, assess risks, and develop test result summaries for leadership briefings, Suitability Statements, and Milestone Decisions.
- Work with Assistant Product Managers, Product Leads and PMs to understand interfaces and address and resolve integration issues.
- Review system evaluation plans, evaluation strategy reviews, and provide input to the PMs.
- Collaborate with customers, vendors, and various stakeholders to resolve problems.
- Configure, operate, maintain, and evaluate communications systems including various radios, tactical assemblages, and R&D platforms.
- Perform communication validation exercises internal to the program and with external parties during test, evaluation, and integration events.
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and guides related to testing, integration, and troubleshooting procedures for various communications systems.
- Maintain accountability of property assets within the project.

Required Qualifications:
- Experience with Atlassian Software Suite including Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence, and Bamboo.
- Knowledge and experience with Department of Defense networks, systems, and processes.
- Experience with Tactical networks, radio networks, and mission command systems.
- Experience with handheld mobile computing devices.
- Ability to work with a geographically dispersed team in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
- Due to the sensitive nature of this work, a US Government clearance is required, and all applicants must provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
- Must currently possess or have the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
- Must possess a: High School diploma and 14 years' experience or, Associate’s degree and 12 years' experience or, Bachelor’s degree and 5 year experience or, Master’s degree and 0 years' experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with the software development lifecycle.
- Experience with/testing virtual reality (VR) or augmented reality (AR) applications.
- Experience with Tactical Assault Kit (TAK) and Watchtower.
- Experience with Army Mission Command Systems (e.g., Nett Warrior, Joint Battle Command-Platform, etc.).
- Experience with scripting.
- A deep understanding and ability to navigate the Army’s current tactical network environment, including software-defined tactical radio systems, and transport layers.
- Experience with the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of these networks.
- Experience with military testing specifically in Electronics Interference Characterization, Electromagnetic Environmental Effects, Environmental Testing.
- Experience with Agile framework and ability to apply best practices using industry standards.

Pay Band Information:
$70,000 - $155,000
The ACI pay band for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of a specific compensation.
