Responsibilities

- Manage medical collections by following up on outstanding accounts and resolving discrepancies.
- Maintain comprehensive medical records, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify any billing-related issues or queries.
- Stay updated on changes in medical billing regulations and coding practices to ensure compliance.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports related to billing activities as needed.
Skills
- Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of various coding systems, including ICD-10 and ICD-9.
- Experience in medical billing, coding, and collections within a medical office environment.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and ClinicSource software is preferred.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 1-3 years of medical billing experience in medical office environment, Speech and Occupational Therapy and Mental Health is a plus.

- Ability to multi-task in a stressful, deadline-oriented environment.
