Aurora is hiring highly skilled Technicians who have great attention to detail, are experts at problem-solving, assembling simple and complex hardware systems in a Manufacturing prototype environment. Candidates must have a deep passion for cars, and, trucks and implementing future technologies.
In this role, you will
- Work as a Manufacturing Technician building Aurora's self-driving vehicles - this Includes vehicle build, sub-assembly, PCBA solder/rework, and harness assembly.
- Candidates must possess excellent documentation practices.
- Work closely with Hardware Engineering and associated teams.
- Follow safety standards and meet internal deadlines.
- Work with limited oversight.
- Seek continuing education and development opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of direct experience in automotive, trucking, or prototyping spaces
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, ERP, PLM, CAD, and various other software tools
- Must possess excellent communication skills
- Deep knowledge of automotive and trucking systems, tooling, and mechanical assemblies
- Strong electrical skills, ability to read wiring schematics and layouts, and assemble wiring harnesses
- Ability to problem-solve, diagnose, analyze and isolate problems
- Proficiency with Windows, Mac, and Linux
- Able to work independently and in a team environment
- A can-do customer service attitude with the ability to multitask under pressure in an unstructured environment
Desirable Qualifications
- IPC training and certification in the following: IPC J-STD-001, IPC-A-600, IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, IPC-7711/7721
- Certification and training in GD&T
