Our Crisis team consists of Psychiatrists, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners, RNs, LPNs, Medical Assistants, Licensed and Unlicensed Therapists, Case Managers, Milieu Counselors, and Peer Support Specialists. Aurora Mental Health & Recovery (AMHR) is seeking CSU Registered Nurses to pick up PRN for the following shifts:
- Day Shift -- 6:30am - 7pm
- Night Shift -- 6:30pm - 7am
$1,050 Sign On Bonus Available! *Not eligible for internal employees and re-hired employees within 90 days from separation.
Based on a PRN schedule of picking up at least one 12-hour shift per pay period. Paid in two installments: 50% on the first paycheck, and 50% on the paycheck following the 6-month anniversary.
Salary for this role. The starting wage is based on licensure and company equity. Paid bi-weekly.
- $36.65 - $44.00 hourly
Shift Differential Pay. The swing shift differential applies to hours worked between 3pm to 11pm. The evening shift differential applies to hours worked between 11pm to 7am.
- Day Weekend (Sat, Sun): $2.50
- Overnight Weekday (Monday - Thursday): $4.00/hour
- Overnight Weekend (Friday, Saturday & Sunday): $5.00/hour
- Swing Weekday (Mon-Thurs): $2.75/hour
- Swing Weekend (Fri, Sat, Sun): $3.25/hour
Bilingual Language Differential Pay. *Rate depends on language requirements for the position and candidate's fluency.
- Will receive scheduled earnings on a bi-weekly basis for all hours worked (excluding non-productive hours paid but not worked, e.g., paid time off, holiday, administrative, etc.) in an amount equivalent to 5% of their regular base rate (hourly or salaried), to a maximum amount of $3,000.00 per calendar year. *The annual maximum amount will be prorated based on full time equivalency (FTE).
About you.
The nurse will promote efficient coordination of client care through collaborative practice and ongoing nursing care management. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, highly collaborative, possess strong de-escalation skills, and display excellent nursing judgment. Candidates should have an active Registered Nurse license in good standing, previous experience with psychiatric nursing, and current BLS certification.
Essential Functions:
- Support the medical and clinical functions of the medical team (completing all medical orders and communicating vital patient care information to physician/prescriber).
- Screen potential clients for admission and adhere to admission criteria. This may include testing for COVID-19.
- Complete nursing assessments of clients upon admission.
- Document clear and concise notes regarding patients’ condition, reaction to medication, and treatments in EMR.
- Perform nursing interventions within the scope of practice, congruent with licensing.
- Contribute to the development of the treatment planning process as it relates to medical needs and concerns.
- Provide educational support surrounding medications and self-administration.
- Provide coordination and support to program staff and clients.
- Observe, identify, and monitor the condition of the patient, including changes in symptoms, and relates same to appropriate members of the treatment team.
- Administer injections and medications.
- Provide medical case management and other clinical interventions, as appropriate.
- Act as liaison to outside agencies and providers to ensure continuity of care for patients.
- Provide assistance in crisis intervention, as needed.
- Complete required education and training in a timely manner.
- Provide information to credentialing, payroll, etc. in a timely manner.
- Attend meetings and training as needed.
- Maintain professional licensing as required by applicable state laws.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Associate's in Nursing required.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.**
- Preferred: one year of relevant clinical experience.**
- Licensure: Active State of Colorado Registered Nursing License.
- Preferred: Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) experience.**
- Ability to administer medications and injections.
- Demonstrated ability in nursing assessment including evaluation and interpretation of medical and behavioral health information.
- Knowledge and familiarity of nursing care management concepts, and psychotropic medications.
- Advanced written and oral communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, efficient time management with multitasking ability.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team and collaborate with other internal and external teams.
- Ability to learn and operate various software programs including Word, Excel, and web-based systems.
Required Vaccination and TB Test.
AMHR has prioritized the health and safety of our clients and staff and requires all employees to be receive an annual influenza (flu) shot and receive negative TB test results prior to their first day of hire. Proof of the flu shot and negative TB test will be required upon your first day of employment. Medical and religious exemptions may be requested for the annual flu shot or TB test.
