What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quantitative Developer position at Aurum Search Limited?

I am representing a leading systematic hedge fund based in New York looking to add a Macro Quantitative Developer to their team. In this role, you will collaborate with quantitative researchers, portfolio managers, and data scientists to develop and optimize robust trading models and systems focused on macroeconomic strategies across global markets.


Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain high-performance trading systems and analytics frameworks.
  • Develop and backtest systematic macro strategies using cutting-edge quantitative techniques.
  • Analyze large datasets, including macroeconomic indicators, market data, and alternative datasets, to derive actionable insights.
  • Optimize model execution, ensuring scalability and low-latency performance in real-time trading environments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate research and technology into production systems.


Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree (Master’s/PhD) in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related quantitative discipline.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C , or Java, with strong software engineering skills.
  • Expertise in quantitative modeling, time-series analysis, and statistical techniques.
  • Familiarity with macroeconomics, fixed income, FX, or commodity markets.
  • Experience with cloud computing, distributed systems, and/or database technologies is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a passion for innovation.
