What are the responsibilities and job description for the Porter/Maintenance position at Austin Machine Inc.?
Austin Machine is an aerospace job shop in the O Fallon, MO area is searching for additional Porters.
Requirements:
- Cleaning metal chips out of machines
- Dumping chips in different dumpsters using a forklift
- Sweeping floors
- Cleaning up coolant and oil spills
- Putting coolant in machines
- Cleaning out coolant tanks
- Cleaning sinks
- Taking out trash and recyclables
- Cleaning machines when they need repairs
- Must be able to pass a drug test
- Prior experience in a machine shop is helpful but not required
Employment Type: Full-Time
Hours: 40-50 hrs/week
Shifts: Day shift ONLY
Pay Rate: $18-20/hour

About Austin Machine:
Austin Machine is an aerospace machine shop that builds machined parts for military aircraft with our main customer being The Boeing Company. We focus on short lead times, small quantities with quick turnarounds, hinges, very large parts, complex 5 axis parts and the use of 90 degree heads in the 5 axis machining. We are conveniently located in O'Fallon, MO off Highway 70, Exit #216 Bryan Road.
