Role Description:

The Area Direct Care Assistant Manager plays a key role in supporting Direct Care Providers (DCPs) and coordinating services for families in the area of Hamilton County. This position is responsible for ensuring the delivery of quality care and support, overseeing administrative tasks, and contributing to outreach and recruitment efforts.


This is a hybrid role, with approximately 75% remote work and 25% travel within the designated region to attend family team meetings, trainings, staff meetings, etc.


The Area Direct Care Assistant Manager will be responsible for multiple objectives for ASI, which include, but are not limited to:

1. Waiver Services – 70%

  • Attend required family meetings for participants in person at family home or chosen locations.
  • Coordinate services for new and existing participants via communication with families, case managers, DCPs, and other team members.
  • Ensure DCPs have resources and training to ensure continuous quality services for all participants.
  • Oversee staff and participant hours.

2. Administration/Supervision – 15%

  • Update and manage reports.
  • Act as liaison between families and case managers regarding ASI direct care services.

3. Outreach – 15%

  • Work with ASI staff to ensure events and training are accessible and inclusive for local families.
  • Assist with promoting ASI events and trainings.
  • Support internal and external partnerships by attending events, serving on boards and committees, and networking as needed.

  • Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey information clearly and respectfully to participants, families, colleagues, and others.
  • Organization: Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.

  • Qualifications

    • High School or equivalent required, bachelor’s degree preferred
    • Competence in Microsoft Office
    • Valid driver’s license
    • Previous experience in direct care services, case management, or a related field, particularly within the autism or developmental disabilities community is preferred

    Pay: $38,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
