Forklift Operator
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a Forklift Operator for a company based in Birmingham, AL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating a forklift to move, load, and unload materials around the worksite.
You must have reliable transportation, and the ability to pass a background check and drug screening. Pay Rate $14-17.00 per hour (Depending on Experience) Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday, 7 : 30 am to 4 pm. (Subject to Change) Forklift Operator Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate a forklift safely and efficiently, in accordance with company or site-specific safety policies and procedures.
- Load and unload trailers, railcars, and transports to designated area.
- Check product on inbound / outbound to ensure that items and quantities are correct and there is no damage.
- Use handheld scanners / equipment for warehouse management system compliance.
- Perform daily maintenance inspections of equipment.
- Work cooperatively with other warehouse associates.
- Participate in keeping the facility maintained in a clean, neat, and orderly fashion.
Forklift Operator Qualifications and Requirements
- Rail car loading experience is a plus
- Clean background
- 21 years of age or older
- High School Diploma or GED Required
- Must have 3 years of experience.
- Must be able to verify places of employment as Forklift operator.
