We are helping a premier Systems Integrator specializing in designing and building industrial control systems and custom manufacturing equipment, to find an experienced Controls Specialist . This company serves a variety of industries, including automotive, chemical, manufacturing, food & beverage, pulp & paper, and wood products. Their expert team includes electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, controls specialists, and electrical assembly personnel.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a company that excels in PLC control systems , industrial robotics , motor controls , vision systems , and custom manufacturing equipment .
Key Responsibilities :
- Design and develop electrical control panels for machinery and systems.
- Create and implement PLC and HMI programs .
- Develop systems that meet current safety standards .
- Commission and troubleshoot VFDs , servo motor applications , and industrial networking systems.
- Manage individual projects, including budget control , customer communication, scheduling, installation, and startup.
- Program and integrate industrial robots (e.g., FANUC) — desirable but not mandatory.
- Diagnose and resolve issues with PLC controllers , industrial networks (Ethernet / IP, Profinet), motor control systems , servo drives , and electrical distribution systems .
- Occasional travel required (approx. 25%).
