This is an exciting leadership opportunity where you’ll ensure top-quality treatments in a highly collaborative environment.Why You Should Apply : Lead a thriving physics department across five radiation oncology centersBe responsible for the oversight and management of the physics department and radiation safety program, also acting as the RSO.Work with a tight-knit group of 5 Physicists and 6 Dosimetrists, and work closely with an excellent team of physicians, therapists, administrators and support staff.Practice has active HDR, SBRT and SRS programs at all locations and also has one of the largest prostate seed implant programs in the southeast.Atlanta is one of the country's fastest growing areas, with a wide variety of suburbs / cities, pro sports teams, a variety of restaurants, shopping, and Western hemisphere's largest indoor aquarium.About You and Your Experience : Be able to do the job as describedABR Certification in Medical Physics5 years of clinical experience in progressive radiation oncology2 years of supervisory experience, ideally as a Chief Medical PhysicistGood communication skills with team membersEligible to become an Authorized Medical Physicist for HDR in GeorgiaEquipment : All facilities use Eclipse AAA(v16.1) for treatment planning, with the four metro Atlanta sites on ARIA and one site on Mosaiq.Currently have 8 linacs : including 1 TrueBeam, 1 Halcyon (just installed), 2 EX, 2 iX, 1 Versa, 1 Infinity, and 2 TrueBeams coming next year to replace older linacs.Utilize Varian GammaMed HDR afterloaders and GE CTs.Full array of QA systems and tools including an IBA Blue Phantom II, MapCheck, Daily QA3s, IC Profilers, and Mobius 3D and ClearCheck for second checks.
