Job Description: Dietary Aide
Location: 119-Southern Utah Veterans Home - Ivins, St. George, UT, 84738
The Dietary Aide is responsible for assisting in the preparation and serving of meals to residents in a healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing excellent customer service and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and serving of meals to residents
- Ensure that all food is prepared and served in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Clean and sanitize kitchen and dining areas
- Assist in the receiving, storage, and inventory of food and supplies
- Assist in the preparation of special diets as directed by the dietary manager
- Assist in the setup and cleanup of dining areas for meals and special events
- Assist in the training of new dietary staff members
- Perform other duties as assigned by the dietary manager
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in a healthcare setting preferred
- Ability to read, write, and follow written and oral instructions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
