What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Manager - Multi-Family position at Avant Search?
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day‑to‑day field operations for multiple multi‑family projects.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and manpower to meet deadlines and quality expectations.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and internal field teams to ensure work aligns with plans and specifications.
- Conduct regular jobsite inspections to verify quality control, safety compliance, and progress.
- Resolve on‑site issues quickly and effectively to avoid delays.
- Work closely with the Purchasing, Design, and Project Management teams to ensure alignment from pre‑construction through close‑out.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including daily logs, change orders, RFIs, and progress reports.
- Drive a safety‑first culture on all sites, adhering to OSHA and company safety protocols.
- Represent the company in a professional manner with trade partners, inspectors, and clients.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of construction management experience in multi‑family residential projects.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, codes, and safety regulations.
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Proficient in scheduling software (MS Project, Buildertrend, Procore, or similar).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
