Industrial Engineer

Manufacturing plant seeking Industrial Engineer at the Bachelors or Masters levels for full-time hire! Avanti is a manufacturer of non-woven fabrics in the field of medical, hygiene, industrial and agricultural products.

Job Summary:

The Industrial Engineer will work on projects and initiatives under the supervision of the Engineering staff. As part of the team, they will develop an understanding for the Manufacturing processes and will design, develop, test, and evaluate integrated systems for managing industrial production processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plan and establish sequence of operations to produce non-woven materials and to promote efficient utilization.
• Evaluate precision and accuracy of production and testing equipment and engineering drawings to formulate corrective action plan.
• Operate computer-assisted engineering or design software or equipment to perform engineering tasks.
• Confer with engineers, customers, or others to discuss existing or potential engineering projects or products.
• Estimate production costs and cost saving methods for management review, action, and control.
• Coordinate and implement quality control objectives or procedures to resolve production problems, maximize product reliability, and minimize costs.
• Oversee project production efforts to assure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Regulate and alter workflow schedules according to established manufacturing sequences and lead times to expedite production operations.
  
• Communicate with management to develop production and design standards.
• Use drafting tools and computer to draft and design layout of equipment, materials, and workspace for optimal efficiency.
  
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering i.e Industrial, Manufacturing, Electrical
  
• Applicant must be self-driven and motivated in continuous improvement
• Prior experience in manufacturing environment is a plus
• Prior experience with Siemens and Allen Bradley PLC systems is a plus
• Prior experience with industrial DCS is a plus
• Prior experience with Industrial motors and drives is a plus
• Must be flexible with work schedule
