Purpose & Scope:
This position will be responsible for the preventative maintenance, calibration, and repair of equipment in all areas of the facility.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Position is responsible for various aspects of construction, start-up, validation support, and maintenance/calibration of all equipment, including electrical equipment and systems.
- Read schematics, scale controls, flow controls (air and liquid), and level controls.
- Provide technical assistance in the diagnosis and resolution of the computerized building monitoring system (Fire, Security, and HVAC).
- Maintain the integrity of mechanized and manual records on facility and process control equipment.
- Read schematics and troubleshoot process equipment, process control panels, and site support systems including inspection, installation, repair, and modifications.
- Any other tasks assigned by management.
Quantitative Dimensions:
- Works cross-functionally to support the APT site, with an emphasis on operations, greatly impacting quality and on-time delivery.
Organizational Context:
- Reports to Area Manager Maintenance
- No direct reports
Qualifications:
Required
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- One or more of the following:
- A minimum of four years of experience in the electronic field with advanced completed courses or certifications
- A minimum of four years of experience in electrical maintenance with a journeyman license issued by the state of Oklahoma. Must also be experienced in maintenance and operation of medium voltage (4160) electrical equipment, including received training in such specialized subjects as electrical theory, theory of control, analog and/or digital electronics, and the operation and maintenance of a wide variety of electrical equipment.
- A minimum of four years of training in specialized trade (millwright, carpentry, plumbing, painting, welding, machinist, boiler operator) or related area. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures of a particular trade.
- Knowledge of industry and company practices in facilities and processing.
- Knowledgeable in federal, state, and local regulations and codes.
- Knowledge of maintenance skills and the general operation of equipment.
- Knowledge of cGMP requirements as they relate to facilities, maintenance, and metrology.
- Must be able to read, write, and understand the English language (statement common to all Job Descriptions).
- Must be able to gather and evaluate complex data to make effective decisions to accomplish work. Requires ability to accurately perform mathematical operations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division within both metric and numeric math systems. Percentages and decimal points are used in the calculations.
- Must be able to comprehend and satisfactorily perform verbal and written instructions and procedures. Must be able to maintain attention to procedural details while performing repeated monotonous work.
- Must perform work while wearing required personal protective equipment, i.e., respirators, eye protection, rubber gloves, arm protectors, and safety shoes.
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, or rotate equipment or containers weighing up to 50 pounds. For items weighing over 50 pounds, must be able to perform same functions with assistance.
- Must be able to climb ladders and perform work elevated above ground level. Must be able to climb as many as 3 stories of stairs repeatedly during a shift of work.
- Must be able to work in confined spaces for up to 2 hours to clean and maintain equipment. Must be able to perform work in hot, humid, or cold conditions for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to hear in order to identify noise sources as being normal or abnormal during operation of equipment.
