The Avenue at Macedonia is a Post-Hospital Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Care Facility that offers a distinctive environment not commonly found in skilled nursing facilities. Our facility provides some of the area’s highest level of rehabilitation, nursing and medical support to individuals needing post-hospital care and services. We are looking for an individual with a passion for caring for the memory care population to help run our unit.
Job Description: We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Memory Care Nurse work in our memory care unit . The ideal candidate will lead the STNAs of the memory care unit, ensuring the delivery of personalized and effective care to our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise the memory care staff, providing guidance and support to our STNAs and Activity Staff .
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards including the adherence to the Compass program.
- Coordinate with healthcare professionals, families, and caregivers to provide comprehensive care.
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided, making improvements as necessary.
- Foster a positive and nurturing environment for residents, staff, and families.
- Have a passion for Memory Care Residents .
- 1 to 2 years working with Memory Care reisdents is a must .
Qualifications:
- Must have a valid Ohio nursing license in good standing.
- Experience in memory care or a similar setting.
- In-depth knowledge of dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to care.
