Floyd Valley Healthcare in Le Mars, IA has a full-time position in our Laboratory Department for a Laboratory Assistant.

Laboratory Assistant Responsibilities :
- The Lab Assistant duties include, but are not limited to : performing phlebotomy, drug and alcohol testing, operating and maintaining waived lab equipment.
- Takes lab orders from physician's offices. Request faxed orders with diagnosis and signatures. Notifies providers of orders that do not meet lab criteria.
- Represents the laboratory by screening incoming telephone calls; recording and transmitting messages; scheduling, receiving, and announcing scheduled patients and visitors.
- Hours are Monday-Friday, variety of shifts 7 : 00am-3 : 30pm, 8 : 00am-5 : 00pm, and 6 : 20am-5 : 00pm. Occasional weekend and holiday.
