Your Impact:
As a Data Engineer at Avetta, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our centralized and secure data infrastructure. Through your expertise, you will lead the development of data governance, data integrity, and transformation, culminating in robust data pipelines that enhance performance across our global organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and internal partners to drive data governance, hygiene, and integrity, establishing a resilient data pipeline that powers our global operations.
- Uphold Data Systems & Internal Business Intelligence team's governance standards, style guidelines, documentation practices, and best practices.
- Engage with technical and business stakeholders to achieve desired KPIs, metrics, visualizations, and operational auditing, utilizing ETL and data pipeline automation.
- Foster a culture of knowledge sharing and growth within the Data Systems & Internal Business Intelligence team, contributing to the overall impact on the organization.
- Partner with operational disciplines to understand challenges and develop data-driven solutions that address critical needs.
- Adapt swiftly, utilizing various business tools for effective communication and requirement development.
Your Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher.
- 5 years of proven experience in a data engineering role.
- 5 years of experience with large-scale cloud database platforms like Snowflake, Redshift, or SQL Server.
- Proficiency in SQL development, automated data pipelines, and data modeling.
- Strong command of SQL/T-SQL with demonstrated examples.
- Ability to plan, design, and implement end-to-end ETL data pipelines using modern cloud data engineering tools.
- Proficiency in navigating and extracting insights from complex datasets.
- Demonstrated ownership in designing and maintaining robust data pipelines.
- Versatility to transition between various Business Intelligence functional areas.
- Agile team experience using Jira and Git, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with a range of data engineering tools.
- Curiosity and passion for data pipelines, modeling, and problem-solving through automation.
- Experience with reporting, descriptive statistics, probability, and cleaning large datasets.
- Willingness to scrutinize the validity and accuracy of data and assumptions.
- Adept at navigating uncertain situations.
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with AWS stack, AWS S3, AWS Lambda, dbt labs, and/or other data engineering toolsets.
- Exposure to SaaS platforms such as Marketo, Salesforce, Zuora, NetSuite, OneStream.
- Certifications in Business Intelligence or Data Engineering.
