What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hangar Security Supervisor position at Aviation?

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible in leading security practices within operation and ensure security is performed as expected.
  • Responsible for recording security-related documents for instances that occur.
  • Guarantees the delivery of the service to the airline by the contracts and within the agreed budget level.
  • Ensures that security and protection procedures comply with the standards set out in the Security and Training Manual.
  • Responsible for performing investigations of incidents and conducting interviews with witnesses.
  • liaisons with the managers of the service stations, airport operations managers, management agents, Customs, Immigration, and Security officials, and other interested parties of the airport.
  • Monitors the performance of security forces and takes measures to correct any deficit.
  • Guarantees immediate notification to the Manager of any audit.
  • Provide guidance and leadership to the team.
  • Investigate and report all accidents, incidents, and irregularities.
  • Guarantees the service by the contracts and within the agreed budget level.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION, LICENSE, and/or CERTIFICATION

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must have a valid Security D License
  • Must have a valid Driver License
  • All Security Officers must be U.S Citizen

EXPERIENCE and/or KNOWLEDGE

  • Minimum 2 years or more of aviation and security experience with proven leadership preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, and Excel skill)

SKILL and/or ABILITIES

  • Ability to speak and understand Spanish / English
  • Demonstrated ability to read and understand documented processes.
  • Ability to plan, organize and implement under a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills including interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Strong self-organization and self-management skills, with emphasis on self-initiation and follow through.
  • Requires flexibility to work additional hours beyond the regular shift, on short notice, and as needed during irregular operations.
  • Must be able to obtain a SIDA Badge from the airport.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
