Position Description:
As 3D Printing Technician, you will support the production, processing, and maintenance of our 3D printing business and manufacturing facility. Duties include unpacking parts from 3D printers, bead blasting and finishing parts, cleaning printers and production areas. A key team member on the production floor, the 3D printing technician interacts with all employees and reports to shop manager and operations manager.
Working Environment:
Fast-paced production environment. Requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, lifting (weights up to 50 lbs), and stretching. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate painting, printing, and processing equipment. The environment is not climate controlled.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain printing and processing equipment
- Ready printers for upcoming jobs according to production schedule
- Unpack completed builds and ready build units for subsequent prints
- Ensures all 3D printed parts and products are produced to a high level of quality and meet production deadlines
- Follow all standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and best practices, ensuring self and other team members are following safety policies and adhering to PPE standards
- Clean and maintain production areas
- Identify and communicate potential process improvements; assist Shop Manager and Operations Manager on implementing and communicating all improvement initiatives
- Carry out other duties and special projects as assigned by Operations Manager, Shop Manager, and other key personnel.
Qualifications:
- High school or equivalent education
- Professional manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred but not required
- Able to perform laborious work for 8-10 hours (depending on schedule)
- Willing to learn, take direction, and work as a team
- Basic Computer skills
- Quality and safety focus
- Able to lift and carry up to 49lbs unassisted and 50 lbs with an assist
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English
- Work under compressed timelines and other resource limitations
- Flexible to learning other duties and positions within Avid Product Development and perform these duties at the direction of the Shop Manager and Operations Manager
Position Details:
Location: Loveland, Colorado, on-site
Job Type: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Schedule: Five (5) days per week, potentially including weekends. Eligible for overtime.
This is a part or full-time position requiring consistent dependable attendance. Temp-to-hire, eligibility for employment status and associated benefits will be reviewed after 90 days.
