Currently, Avint is seeking a motivated, career and team-oriented Cybersecurity Project Manager at our Herndon, VA office.
This role will be supporting the Department of Homeland Security and its Continuous Diagnostic and Mitigation (CDM) program.
Position Responsibilities:
- Hands-on and required to work closely with operations leads, other SDMs, PMO Analysts, team leads and CDM partners.
- Understanding and ability to demonstrate the purpose of CDM DEFEND.
- Review schedule activities, status and results with PM, DPM, Operations Lead and other SDMs as required.
- Implement baseline changes of the assigned agency into the DEFEND IMS by collaborating with applicable stakeholders.
- Identify, develop and implement processes improving scheduling and coordination efforts in delivering the services associated with the associated tasks for the assigned group or agency.
- Recommending systems security contingency plans and disaster recovery procedures.
- Recommending and implementing programs to ensure that systems, network, and data users are aware of, understand, and adhere to systems security policies and procedures.
- Participating in network and systems design to ensure implementation of appropriate systems security policies.
- Facilitating the gathering, analysis, and preservation of evidence used in the prosecution of computer crimes.
- Assessing security events to determine impact and implementing corrective actions.
- Ensuring the rigorous application of information security/cybersecurity policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of all IT services
