  • Will provide assistance, support and information to clients with severe and persistent mental health or addictive disease illnesses on all aspects of employment search and career planning.
  • Interviews referred clients and communicates with referral source.
  • Along with client input, will develop an employment plan that takes into consideration needs, preferences, strengths and weaknesses, in relation to job readiness, job acquisition, and job maintenance.
  • Coordinates services and provides progress reports to the State Vocation Rehabilitation program.
  • Works with client on job readiness skills and monitors and reports progress.
  • Implements intervention strategies such as behavioral counseling, modeling, and behavioral initiatives.
  • Will stay abreast of career opportunities in the community.
  • Will promote the program within the community by building relationships, and will present the program to community groups and employers to build an employment network interested in benefitting from the use of the supportive employment program.
  • Will perform on site job analysis and consultation with employers to identify and modify barriers to employment.
  • Will be part of the on call clinical treatment team and will rotate 24 hour on-call duties with team members.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health or related field or Counseling (SST-2) OR
  • Completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health or Counseling or related field and one year experience working with adults who have a SPMI diagnosis in a social services delivery setting (SST-3)
  • Must have valid drivers license and a clean Motor Vehicle Records report.
