POSITION SUMMARY:
The Sr. Technician, Quality oversees and conducts inspections of specified products in accordance with inspection audit protocol, as identified in MILSTD and AQL as well as valid sampling plan. When quality issues are detected, they notify proper personnel in accordance with North American Quality & Process Transformation SOP. This individual takes appropriate action, such as segregation, culling and making inventory adjustments through proper materials management notification. They also assist in detailed root cause analysis and is a key team member on process improvement teams. The Sr. Technician, Quality responds to special inspection requirements as well as pre-established inspection schedules. They provide detailed information, reports, and samples on quality problems, quantities involved, and percentages found.
Qualifications:
• High School diploma, or GED.
• Must have knowledge of Merchandise Control and Order Fulfillment procedures.
• Knowledge of acceptable quality of a broad product range (through AQL, specifications).
• Knowledge of WMS, mainframe, and Representative file systems & applicable technologies.
• Must pass basic level Word, Excel and Windows testing.
• Working knowledge of finished stock codes.
• Must be able to discern colors and fragrances, based on visual standards, limit boards and samples. Must be able to pass color and odor acuity test.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle pressure and demonstrate flexibility.
• Able to demonstrate good interpersonal skills and take initiative on specific issues.
• Ability to prioritize handling of situations.
• Strong decision making capabilities as well as impeccable integrity and ethics.
• Must have a positive attitude.
