Your primary responsibilities will be:
- Release and prioritize work orders to achieve production schedules, assigns work and estimates worker hour requirements for successful completion of job assignments while meeting delivery, quality, and cost metrics.
- Correctly interpret specifications, blueprints and job orders to works and effectively assigns duties
- Meet production schedules, efficiencies and utilization targets
- Recommend and initiate measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product within company guidelines
- Proactively work to improve working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, departments or work crew
- Analyze and resolve work problems, or assist workers in solving work problems
- Accurately maintain time and production records
- Correctly and efficiently estimate, requisition and inspect material as required
- Confer with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments; successfully collaborate cross-functionally to deliver business results
- Ensures the smooth transition of work between shifts
And you will have
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Business Management or Operations Management is required.
- Three to five years’ supervisory experience
- Experience in Aerospace or other regulatory industry with a machining or electronics focus is preferred
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience
The wage/salary range for this role is $90k - $120k, depending on education and experience.
