Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Buyer to join our team. The Buyer will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials, goods, and services essential for our operations.
Responsibilities:
- Purchase raw materials to support multiple manufacturing facilities
- Lead strategic and tactical projects
- Lead cost reduction activities for raw materials
- Negotiate prices and contracts with suppliers
- Work with receiving and suppliers on issues
- Monitor and expedite raw materials
- Reconcile accounting issues and resolve discrepancies with quantity, pricing and on time payments
- Work with suppliers on QC issues
- Maintain supplier performance
Qualifications/Experience:
- Minimum of 5-7 year's experience in procurement (preferably manufacturing)
- Project lead experience
- Cost & supplier relationship management
- Ability to work in teams to build consensus & solve problems
- Experience with international and domestic sourcing and the ability to establish reliable suppliers
- Experience with international and domestic logistics
- Experience forecasting future inventory
- Experience developing and implementing procurement strategy
- Experience with SAP preferred
- Strong negotiation skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Solid analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
