About the Position:
As a Shelter Case Manager, you will:
- Perform screening, intake, assessment, crisis intervention, and safety planning for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking (DV/SA/ST).
- Coordinate community resources to provide comprehensive support to survivors.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to ensure 24/7 availability for those in need.
Qualifications:
We value relevant qualifications and experience, but we also appreciate dedication, a passion for our mission, and a commitment to making a difference. Our Minimum Qualifications are:
- Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, justice, or a related field of human services from an accredited institution, or four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in advocacy in the field of domestic violence, crisis intervention, trauma, criminal justice, sexual assault, stalking, of which six (6) months is in domestic violence advocacy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including basic computer skills utilizing AWAIC systems and programs.
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and be flexible in a fast-paced teamwork environment with integrity, compassion, and the skill to handle sensitive issues in a confidential manner.
- Reliable transportation, a valid Alaska driver’s license, and the ability to perform physical tasks as necessary in a shelter environment.
