LOCATED in SAWYER YARDS (I-10 & Taylor) close to the Heights and Downtown! Awesome Bites Co., the nation’s 1st allergy friendly bake & ice cream shop, is looking to HIRE a Counter Server aka Ice Cream Scooper aka Awesome Ambassador.

We are looking for a reliable, positive, clean, punctual, motivated, fun team player to be the smiling face introducing customers to our safer and better-for-you vegan treats. Everything we make is dairy, egg, soy, nut and refined sugar free and mostly gluten free. We make everything from scratch from our muffins only sweetened with fruits and veggies to our coconut yogurt.
SHIFT NEEDED: Part Time Wednesday - Sunday (6-7 hr shifts) 7AM and NOON shifts
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
All duties and responsibilities are set but not limited to the descriptions below.
COUNTER SERVER POSITION
Includes:
- Clearly explaining and selling our products
- Scooping n’ice cream, making simple drinks and safely packaging our baked goodies
- Stocking and maintaining a clean front of house
- Quickly taking orders and cash handling skills
- Awesome, friendly customer service skills
- Helping bakery with some prep and washing dishes

Requirements
- Compassion for those with food allergies or dietary restrictions
- Serious understanding of cross contamination, sanitation requirements and procedures
- Excellent, friendly communication skills and able to deliver awesome customer service quickly.
- Self motivated, positive & ready-to-learn attitude, and punctual.
- Sales and/ or customer service experience is a plus. Food handlers certification is a plus.
- Team player able to treat others as you’d like to be treated. Everyone is entitled to respect - No one is entitled to do less.
- Reliable transportation to get to work every shift. Expected to arrive 10-15 min prior to shift.
