Reporting To: Sales & Marketing Team Development Representative
Department: Sales & Marketing
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM (30-minute lunch break; 25 hours per week)
Position Overview:
The Business Development Cold Caller plays a critical role in driving new business opportunities. This position is responsible for outbound prospecting, managing CRM data, setting qualified appointments, and assisting in the overall lead generation process. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, organized, comfortable on the phone, and eager to contribute to a growing sales pipeline.
Primary Responsibilities:
CRM Management (Pipedrive):
- Maintain and update Pipedrive with accurate lead information.
- Input new leads and conduct timely follow-ups in coordination with Marketing Admin.
- Review and support all email marketing campaigns.
- Classify and track lead status (e.g., hot, warm, cold).
- Document detailed notes for all lead communications.
Cold Calling & Appointment Setting:
- Make 40–60 outbound cold calls per day.
- Secure 4–5 qualified appointments daily for Sales Representatives.
- Develop and refine call scripts to engage decision-makers.
- Confirm and document the identity of decision-makers during calls.
- Schedule Zoom or in-person appointments for Sales Representatives.
- Send follow-up emails to confirm conversations and appointments.
Lead Generation Support:
- Research and identify new targeted calling areas based on current business activity.
- Build and maintain organized spreadsheets of prospects by industry, size, location, and responses.
- Assist in the development of industry-specific contact lists for ongoing campaigns.
- Consistently update both Pipedrive and campaign tracking spreadsheets.
General Marketing Support:
- Manage Outlook calendars for appointment scheduling.
- Call prospective clients as assigned by the sales team.
- Provide regular updates on lead statuses and campaign progress.
Sales Process Training:
- Participate in ongoing training related to the company’s sales processes:
- Lead generation, qualification, demo scheduling, and closing.
- CRM system training and sales tool usage.
- Role-playing and mock sales calls.
- Objection handling and overcoming gatekeepers.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven phone-based sales or business development experience.
- Highly organized with attention to detail.
- CRM experience (Pipedrive preferred).
- Proficient with Mac OS, Microsoft Office, Outlook, and OneDrive.
- Tech-savvy with the ability to learn new systems and software quickly.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
