We are currently seeking a highly motivated and goal-oriented Plant Manager for our cement plant in North Bay, ON. Shift Schedule: This is a full-time position. Work hours and shifts may vary depending on plant operational needs. Occasional travel (twice a month) to Manitoulin is required.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the cement plant.
- Collaborate closely with employees to foster a cohesive and productive work environment.
- Conduct performance reviews and monitor employee performance.
- Establish and track key performance indicators for inventory management, maintenance, quality, and financial performance.
- Coordinate, implement, and maintain safe work practices across the plant.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and problem-solving efforts.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated leadership skills with a motivational and results-driven approach.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proactive mindset for finding solutions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Post-secondary degree/diploma in construction management, engineering, or business.
- At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role in a heavy industrial domain, preferably in the ready mix industry or a comparable plant environment.
