What are the responsibilities and job description for the GM Master Techician position at Axelrod Buick GMC?
Looking for Master Techs, preferably with GM dealership experience. CDK and CDK Service experience is a plus. All inspections done electronically so there is minimal "running around" the dealership to get your information and approvals. We are currently growing and need 2 more A level technicians to meet our demand. Our pay is extremely competitive with increases based on experience and production. You also have the opportunity to earn additional time off based on your production. Our shop has brand new lighting and is air conditioned, so working conditions are optimal.

An Automotive Technician, or Automotive Service Technician, repairs, inspects and maintains cars, trucks, SUVs and other vehicles for drivers. Their main duties include using tools to find any potential issues with someone’s vehicle, explains problems with the car to the driver and performing maintenance on the car to fix it or prevent it from future breakdowns or issues.
Master Technician duties and responsibilities
Master Technician is largely responsible for diagnosing and repairing vehicle engine systems. Automotive Technicians / Master technicians may have the following duties and responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic systems.
Repair brake and steering systems.
Replace or repair transmissions and fuel components as needed.
- Repair cooling components and systems including air conditioners and engine cooling.
- Perform emissions inspections, safety checks and similar state-regulated vehicle examinations.
- Maintain a clean, safe working environment.
- Produce legible and accurate paperwork reflecting work performed.
- Possess a valid state driver’s license for conducting test drives.
- CDK and CDK Service experience is a plus
