We are currently recruiting an Ultrasound Technician to help us continue our tradition of delivering quality OB/GYN care at our location in Ft. Wayne, IN for our Midwest Fertility Center. Scheduled hours to be as needed PRN coverage.
Job Description:
- Provides ultrasound diagnostic services as directed by physicians including scheduling, patient care during procedure and communication with patients.
- Performs routine and diagnostic ultrasound images.
- Interacts with physicians and other technical staff to provide quality, safe and efficient care for the patient.
- Follows guidelines for probe handling and infection control.
- Follows examination protocols under the guidance of the physicians on duty.
- Oversees patient scheduling.
- Explains procedures to assure cooperation and optimum test results.
- Positions patients, selects appropriate transducers and machine settings.
- Conducts scanning procedures.
- Ensures maintenance on ultrasound equipment.
- Orders and stocks all ultrasound supplies.
- Maintains all ultrasound records, reports and files.
- Demonstrates flexibility and responsiveness in handling all customer interactions.
- Performs all other duties as may be assigned from time-to-time.
