As our impressive growth continues across the Midwest, we are currently recruiting an Infertility Financial Counselor to help us continue the tradition of providing quality OB/GYN care to patients at our location in Carmel, IN.
- Has high level of knowledge and can effectively explain insurance benefits, coverage limitations, authorization requirements, and billing/contracts; Financial Programs (Attain IVF Program and third-party Loan options) and pricing.
- Workflow will identify and prioritize communication with assigned patients, providing financial support, training and guidance.
- Calculates patient estimated charges; documents estimated patient financial liability (insurance limits and co-payment responsibilities).
- Consults with patients regarding their financial obligations; provides payment options for the patients; and collection of patient’s financial responsibility when required prior to arrival for services.
- Reviews schedule daily to determine if assigned patients have their insurance matters in order (e.g., referrals, per-certifications, and pre-determinations) and “Green Light” the patient’s account when the patient is cleared to start treatment.
- Document accounts appropriately in the patient’s chart.
- Review, interpret and explaining patient accounts when patients present with account conflicts.
- Provide back up support to other billing team members as needed.
- Responsible to help resolve any patient’s billing inquires and financial questions.
- High school graduate.
- Experience in OB/GYN and infertility preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal skills required to communicate with departments, employees, physicians, managers, patients, and insurance companies.
- Ability to organize and follow through on own initiative.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, independent worker, detailed-oriented, computer savvy.
- Proficient with Microsoft programs, specifically Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel
- EOB, ICD-10, CPT codes, and A/R knowledge.
- High level of customer service essential.
