Technical Writer/Proposal Specialist (Intern)

Position Objective:

• Axiom is looking for a motivated and detailed orientated individual to support our team with technical/proposal writing. This is an internship opportunity that will be a part-time opportunity so the individual can continue their college studies while also gaining valuable work experience.

Job Description:

• Participate and support writing efforts for federal proposal writing, compliance requirements, and best practices.
• Learn the basics of the proposal development lifecycle, including RFP analysis, proposal planning, content development, and submission.
• Assist the Proposal and Business Development team in drafting, editing, and proofreading proposal content.
• Collaborate with team members to gather and organize information needed for proposal responses.
• Maintain accurate records of proposal content, revisions, and submission timelines.
• Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions for proposal development.
• Conduct research on clients, competitors, and industry trends.
• Help in developing visuals, charts, and graphics to enhance the presentation of proposals.

Qualifications:

• Current student pursuing a degree (undergraduate or graduate) in Technical Writing, Communications, Business Administration, Business Management, or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Strong writing experience with an ability to translate business ideas into written form.
• Ability to quickly grasp technical concepts and explain them in a clear and concise manner.
• Ability to determine the clearest and most logical way to present information to the intended audience(s).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and have familiarity with technical writing.
• Self-motivated team player with excellent time management and organizational skills.
