Axios Professional Recruitment is partnered with an international specialist in connection components, who is actively searching to hire a qualified Sales Manager. The ideal candidate will be an energetic sales person with an industrial machinery manufacturing background.

Our client has been designing, producing, and marketing innovative all-metal connection solutions for pneumatic or water-cooling applications for more than 80 years. In addition to standard components, they also develop numerous customer-specific special solutions for almost every application.

Sales Manager Responsibilities:
  • Make direct contact with customers for review of project, review and resolution of quality issues, review of customer issues, and identification of customer needs and sales opportunities to maximize and grow sales.
  • Expanding business year over year with existing customer base; Retains and profitably grows sales through proactive management of top strategic accounts and distributors
  • New customer acquisition, especially focusing on distributors
  • Maintains and creates strong and deep-rooted relationships with key decision-makers within designated strategic target accounts; recognized and respected by customer’s top management team
  • Develop a yearly sales budget
  • Presents all products to current and prospective customers and distributors
  • Answers customer inquiries and requests regarding accounts, products, pricing, and services offered.
  • Responsible for follow up with customer accounts with any issues, concerns or delay with customer orders.
  • Enter and release orders for customer accounts and provide confirmations (supported by inside sales).
  • Represents customer’s needs and goals within the organization to ensure quality
  • Proactively manages customer satisfaction and service delivery by anticipating potential service problems, and monitoring satisfaction
  • Completes detailed forecasts as required
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional associations
  • Communicate with manufacturing facility regarding quality issues and coordinate required actions with customers.
  • Analyze customers’ needs and determine modifications and changes.
  • Assist customer with product selection.
  • Obtain specifications and approvals from customers’ engineering personnel.
Sales Manager Qualifications:
To be considered for the Sales Manager position, applicants should:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field
  • 2-5 years industry-related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience are required.
  • Strong technical/mechanical aptitude.
  • General knowledge and understanding of manufacturing practices,
  • Open to Travel with some extended stay away from home.
  • Detailed understanding of competitive product lines.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
