Benefit and Eligibility Specialist
Location: Tucson, AZ 85714 (Remote) (Training Onsite)
2 Months Contract to Hire- Will convert to fulltime
Job Description:
Position Summary
This position is responsible for reviewing applications for various public assistance programs and determining the eligibility of applicants and recipients. The role involves interactive interviewing, fact gathering, and verification of application information to ensure accuracy and completeness. Specialists may be required to follow up with applicants multiple times to obtain necessary documentation or clarification.
Key Responsibilities
- Review applications for public assistance programs and determine applicant and recipient eligibility
- Conduct interactive interviews to gather facts and required information
- Verify that application forms are completed correctly and review submitted information for accuracy
- Perform follow-up with applicants as needed to resolve discrepancies or obtain additional documentation
- Ensure compliance with program rules, policies, and procedures
Training
- Training will last approximately 7 weeks
- Training is 100% in person
- Resources may be transitioned to full-time employment (FTE) after the training period
Important Notes
- Resource must be able to start on 2/9/2026 (expedited onboarding required)

Required Skills
- 2 years of customer service experience
- Ability to work onsite and have reliable transportation
Education Requirements
- High School Diploma
