Job Summary of the Operations Specialist
The Operations Specialist primary responsibility will be to support Distribution Operations with technical aspects for projects, review of distribution documentation for compliance / adherence and providing support for the nonconformance process. Additional responsibilities include reviewing / performing associate training, updating procedures and leading supporting process improvement activities.
Requirements of the Operations Specialist
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Associates Degree in engineering, science or equivalent preferred
- Six Sigma certification preferred
- Experience in medical device, tissue processing, or biologics preferred
- At least one year of experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment
- Ability to understand processing and release requirements
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft office including Word and Excel
- Excellent organizational, problem solving, documentation, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced environment with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities of the Operations Specialist
The specific duties of the Operations Specialist include but are not limited to:
- Assisting with engineering projects
- Initiating, reviewing, providing documentation with nonconformances including risk analysis and investigations
- Work with Quality Assurance to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and AATB regulations.
- Updating of forms and procedures
- Update and perform training for distribution associates
- Writing reports and summaries to support distribution activities
- Support internal/external audit activities with the planning, prepping, conducting and follow-up for assigned tasks
- Performs other duties as assigned.
