The Administrative Assistant, along with routine clerical work, is also in charge of maintaining the office's efficiency by organizing meetings, tracking paper, and electronic files, and keeping track of the budgetensuring all departments adhere to the funds they've been allocated. At times, enlist as a project manager, at which time advanced organization and planning skills would apply.Responsibilities include:
- Manage the daily functions of the main office, including all attendance functions
- Greet and assist parents and visitors
- Maintain safety protocols
- Register, enroll and withdraw students
- Maintain and update student records (cumulative folders, attendance, student information)
- Coordinate field trips with staff
- Collect and deposit all student activity account funds
- Coordinate use of school facilities
- Coordinate and track all building-level purchases
- Coordinate all end-of-year functions; maintains school-wide events calendar
- Maintains monthly calendar for the regional website
- Support the building staff, students, and visitors
- All other duties as reasonably assigned by the building principal
