Job description

AZCFC is a proven leader in the delivery of justice services for juveniles and adults. We are seeking qualified individuals to join our highly skilled and dedicated team of forensic clinicians. In this position you will have the opportunity to:

  • Conduct assessments or screenings with adult and adolescent offenders to evaluate the nature of their problem in order to determine their needs and develop appropriate treatment plan goals.
  • Develop and provide offense specific treatment plans; monitor, evaluate and document progress.
  • Provide group, individual and family therapy for adult and juvenile offenders.
  • Facilitate coordination of care to include case review, therapeutic interventions, and client progress in treatment.
  • Use standardized risk assessment tools to assist in determining treatment plan.
  • Collaborate with referring agents, case managers and family members to create a multisystemic approach to treatment.
  • Caseload may include non-offender clients as well.

Skills/ Requirements:
Preferred: Applicant qualifications required include a minimum of master's degree in mental/behavioral health field and possess a current license through the AZ Board of Behavioral Health Examiners. Preference for this position is for Independently Licensed Clinicians and Bilingual Counselors. Supervision toward independent license is available for this position.

Applicants should have at least 2 years of experience working with the specialty area identified in the previous section. Knowledge of cognitive behavioral, motivational and other best practice models in offender treatment are preferred.

Preferred Applicants will have several of the following credentials:

  • Independent License from AZBBHE (LISAC's must have another Masters level license)
  • Associate licensed applicants will be considered if experience and training in required areas can be demonstrated.
  • Experience providing treatment to adults and/or juveniles who have a history of sexually abusive behaviors.
  • Working knowledge of current evidence based approaches in the treatment of offenders.
  • Bilingual a plus.
  • ATSA membership required if hired.
  • Dedication to preventing further victimization and ability to address difficult issues with a challenging population.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage difficult client discussions.
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with peers, supervisors, and outside agencies.
  • Ability to work independently and in a group setting.
  • Proven track record of reliability and consistency of high performance.
  • Strong desire to learn and grow professionally.
  • Exhibits an exemplary work ethic by being highly organized, detailed, and thorough.
  • Experience working with court involved persons.
  • Fingerprint clearance card (required).
  • CPR/1st aid (required).
  • Training in other evidence based practices.
  • Must be proficient with common software applications, i.e. Word, Excel, etc.
  • Must be proficient in the areas of treatment plan writing and other clinical documentation.

Generous bonus structure available for this position.

Full time and contract positions are available. Applicants must be willing to work evening hours to accommodate for running group sessions with adults and juveniles.

Salary : $62,000 - $80,000
