Medical Assistant (CMA) - FT
We are a solo-provider pediatric practice located in Ahwatukee and we are presently looking for a full-time Medical Assistant with at least a year of experience in either a pediatric or family practice setting.
Job Duties: Proficiency with administering pediatric immunizations is imperative, room patients, take vitals, enter patient data and chief complaint into EMR, hearing and vision screens, pulse oximetry, EKG's, ear lavage, circumcision & minor surgical assist, fill out referral forms, obtain prior authorizations and prescription refill calls. All patient care is under the direction of the physician and within the scope of a medical assistant.
- Cross-trains to perform patient access tasks, including taking messages and assisting the provider with returning phone calls to patients and pharmacies as appropriate.
- Directs patients to the exam/procedure rooms; assists in preparing patients for the examination. Notifies the provider of the patient’s arrival and readiness. Assists the provider with examinations and procedures.
- Operates and monitors the functioning of equipment and provides patient care according to policies and procedures.
- Recognizes emergency situations, seeks assistance, and intervenes appropriately. Monitors patient during and following procedures; looks for reactions and other visible complications; reacts to emergency situations; notifies the appropriate personnel in the event of an emergency.
- Ensures safe care to patients, adhering to policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications, including time management, supply management, productivity, and accuracy of practice.
- Performs other duties as required.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
