Summary
The Billing Specialist is responsible for billing and collections while also providing administrative assistance to their direct manager and Project Administration department as needed. Duties include filing, scanning documents, and answering phones. Responsibilities can cover all aspects of administration including but not limited to customer interfaces, internal collaboration, and research as needed. This role is responsible for coordinating the flow of information amongst teams, external organizations, and leadership as well as maintaining highly effective working relationships with other departments. The position requires precision and consistent work output. This individual will need to have patience and be willing to handle one task at a time. The job environment is stable, based on known relationships with people and well-defined processes.
Responsibilities
· Responsible for the timely and accurate execution of tasks assigned by direct supervisor
· Ensures tasks are complete and in compliance with the organization’s requirements
· Provide basic status reporting and responds to requests for support, assistance, and information to internal and external customers
· Prepare correspondence for signature as needed
· Verify project documents exist to ensure proper billing
· Physical demands include long hours sitting, using a computer, standing, pulling/pushing, walking, lifting, and climbing
· The job requires intermediate computer proficiency and critical thinking skills
· Other duties, activities, and responsibilities may vary and change as assigned
Education and Experience
· High school degree or equivalent
· Preferred Associates degree in business administration
· Relevant work experience may substitute for the degree
