SUMMARY:
The Training Specialist is responsible for designing, coordinating, and maintaining training programs that promote employee development, compliance, onboarding, and wellness. This role supports organizational learning initiatives by managing training systems, collaborating with external partners, and ensuring training resources are aligned with company goals. The Training Specialist plays a key role in fostering a culture of continuous improvement and workforce readiness.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plan, implement, and track wellness initiatives, including wellness challenges and training programs.
Set up, assign, and manage employee training profiles.
Administer and evaluate training assessments to measure learning effectiveness.
Develop and maintain strong partnerships with local educational institutions to support apprenticeships and internships.
Coordinate compliance training, manager development, and individual contributor training programs.
Oversee the Learning Management System (LMS), Workday, including content updates and user administration.
Collect and maintain training materials in a central repository.
Arrange logistics and supplies for in-person and virtual training sessions.
Coordinate local and global training events and departmental onboarding programs.
Conduct continuous evaluations of the training organization and make recommendations for improvement.
Update internal communication systems with wellness resources and webinars.
Maintain an up-to-date training calendar and ensure timely communication of training opportunities.
Participate and present training readiness and effectiveness during internal and external audits.
REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma required
Workday experience required.
At least two years of Human Resource experience preferred.
One year of training-focused HR experience preferred.
Experience with a global manufacturing organization preferred.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
English required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong presentation skills.
Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.
Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives.
Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related program software.
