Summary
The Transaction Services Specialist II is responsible for the timely and accurate processing of operations in the Transaction Services Department. Responsibilities include processing of various deposit items to customers accounts. Must maintain a working knowledge of all deposit operations within the department to sustain the integrity of the department’s operational guidelines. Communicate proper procedures to both internal and external customers.
Specific Job Functions
- Responsible for the timely and accurate processing of any task related to check, ACH and GL processing.
- Must maintain a working knowledge of all deposit operations within the department to sustain integrity of the department’s operational guidelines.
- Must be able to communicate proper procedures and handle inquiries to both internal and external customers.
- Have overall knowledge of all banking products.
- Be alert and sensitive to fraud and possess knowledge of detecting and recognizing fraud and identity theft.
- Must be organized, attentive to detail and self-disciplined in order to work independently.
- Must be able to manage strict deadlines and time sensitive duties accurately and efficiently.
- Be capable of trouble shooting and problem solving.
- Follows detailed department processes and procedures.
- Performs duties according to established Bank policy and procedures at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Manager.
- Aids in preparation of monthly reports.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two to five years of banking experience.
- Must possess great written and oral communication skills.
- Have above average computer skills for working with several software programs simultaneously.
- Superior ability to proof work for accuracy.
