Job Description:

*Southern Maine Only - Anyone who is able to perform in-person, in-home support in York or Southern Cumberland County may apply.*

We are looking for caring and compassionate individuals who want to make a positive difference in the life of children with special needs.

The work you will perform will be primarily in-home support, working with a special needs child/young adult.

We are looking for a compassionate caring professional who is motivated by helping others learn and grow.

Here at Back to Basics, you will be given the necessary tools and taught the skills to succeed as you learn to help mentor and teach the individual you work with. Our team of Program Managers will be there to train and teach as your develop in this role.

Our schedules are flexible, we are able to help you achieve your desired hours per week. Your schedule will be something that is dependable, and will not change from week to week (although can be planned/altered if needed). Being in home support, our typical hours are afternoons/evenings during the week, and morning-evenings on the weekends.

Responsibilities Include but not limited:

-Maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality.

-Complete all training requirements within established time frames.

- Complete and turn in necessary paperwork for the position on a weekly basis.

-Explicitly follow plans written by the treatment team.

-Place the needs of the individual first.

-Provide high quality one-on-one instruction to the individual.

-Help support client with any daily needs such as hygiene routines, chores, eating, social skills, homework, etc.

-Keeping families involved with treatment of clients.

Typical Hours Available (Days can be flexible, we create schedules based on your availability and your clients availability):

During School Closing and Summertime:
Full Availability to schedule hours.

During Typical School Year (School open and in session):
Monday thru Friday 1:00pm-8:00pm Saturday and Sunday 9am-6:00pm

Minimum requirements:
-High School Diploma or GED
-Valid Driver’s License
-Reliable vehicle with insurance

Wage:
$17.00

You must pass a Criminal, Drivers, and Child Protective background check
