Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough evaluations of personal injury cases, including reviewing medical records, police reports, and other relevant documents.
- Interview clients to gather necessary information and assess the strength of their claims.
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients, explaining their rights and legal options.
- Conduct legal research to support case strategies and stay updated on relevant laws and regulations.
- Prepare legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and settlement agreements.
- Represent clients in negotiations with insurance companies, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in the case.
- Prepare and present persuasive arguments in court to advocate for clients during trials, hearings, and settlement conferences.
- Collaborate with experts, such as medical professionals, accident reconstruction specialists, and economists, to build strong cases.
- Maintain accurate and organized case files, including all relevant documents, correspondence, and evidence.
- Keep clients informed about the progress of their cases and promptly respond to their inquiries.
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients, aiming to secure the maximum compensation possible.
- Stay updated on changes in personal injury law, attending seminars, workshops, and professional development opportunities.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Georgia State Bar and in good standing.
- 1-3 years of plaintiff personal injury experience.
- In-depth knowledge of personal injury laws, regulations, and legal procedures in Georgia.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to evaluate complex legal issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with staff, clients, opposing counsel, and other parties.
- Outstanding negotiation and advocacy abilities.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized, with excellent time management skills.
- Proficient in legal research and case management software.
- Demonstrated ability to handle a high volume of cases and meet deadlines.
- Trial experience and a track record of successful verdicts and settlements preferred.
