Job Summary: The main responsibility of the Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Driver is to safely and promptly execute the collection and distribution of a range of items, including products, equipment, and heavy machinery, in alignment with customer requirements and in adherence to pertinent local, state, and federal guidelines. The driver is required to have the essential competencies to operate the designated class of vehicle for which they are licensed, oversee delivery coordination and upkeep responsibilities, and employ analytical reasoning to strategize routes and exercise sound judgment while carrying out their responsibilities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Efficiently and securely collecting, organizing, and loading merchandise for delivery in a manner that safeguards the products and enhances operational effectiveness.
- Conduct and document daily examinations of trucks and trailers, ensuring that routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes and tire rotations, are promptly completed.
- Adhere to all traffic regulations and drive in a safe and courteous manner.
- Responsibilities involve recording the distance and duration of travel and meeting other requirements, particularly emphasizing adherence to regulations at the federal and state levels.
- Managing fuel usage effectively and ensuring equipment adequately fueled.
- Utilizing GPS and other field technology provided by the company to navigate routes.
- Conducting pre-trip inspections to verify the safety and compliance of the vehicle and its cargo with relevant laws and regulations.
- Appropriately and securely loading, fastening, and unloading a variety of heavy equipment in a safe manner.
- The ability to effectively handle multiple requests throughout a workday or week, and to efficiently and optimally coordinate daily and weekly schedules by inquiring about requirements and distinguishing between essential needs and optional preferences.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Proven experience as a driver with skills in hauling with a lowboy trailer and loading/unloading equipment.
- Proficiency in DOT regulations and ability to clean, inspect, and service vehicles.
- Willingness to learn, take direction, and physically able to perform assigned work.
- Knowledge and experience in securing loads properly and loading/unloading construction equipment.
- Heavy haul experience and operating various heavy equipment.
- Professional demeanor and collaboration with supervisors.
- Basic knowledge of oilfield, trucking, and logistics operations.
Education & Experience:
Basic
- Class A CDL is required
- High school diplomas or equivalent
- Must have a basic understanding of oilfield, trucking, and logistics operations.

- Oil & Gas: 3 years
- Industrial construction experience: 3 years
- Class A CDL driving for 3 years
Physical Requirements

Work Environment
The workplace is marked by high levels of noise and primarily takes place outdoors, with occasional work at client locations or job sites. Employees may face difficult weather conditions, such as severe or adverse weather. They are exposed to moving machinery, vehicles, equipment, as well as proximity to electrical and dangerous substances. This role typically involves extended work hours and frequent weekend shifts.
