What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Auditor (Dimensional Inspector/CMM Operator) position at BAE Systems?
Job Description The BAE Systems site in Aiken, South Carolina, supporting Combat Vehicles is seeking a Quality Auditor (Dimensional Inspector) for the 2nd Shift.
In this role, the Inspector will:
- Inspect machined and/or welded parts to blueprint requirements for shipment to customer base;
- Provide auditing support to shop floor operations;
- Be able to support on the 2nd Shift
Typically a High School Diploma and 1 year work experience or equivalent experience
Required Skills and Education
- Must have experience with and/or knowledge of basic inspection tools including scales, calipers, micrometers, height gages, etc.
- Able to read, comprehend, and work to blueprints.
- Must be able to support the 2nd Shift (4:30 pm - 3:00 am).
Preferred Skills and Education
- Coordinate measurement machine experience a plus.
- Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) knowledge and experience beneficial.
- Weld inspection knowledge/experience is a bonus
- Faro Arm/Laser Tracker experience is a bonus
