SCA General Clerk III (Material Procurement)

Job Description
The selected candidate will perform a variety of general procurement duties in support of various customers, including:
Creating purchase orders in Deltek / Cost Point
Purchase card order placement and reconciling of transactions in Concur
National Stock Number (NSN) order entry into SASSI
Building procurement packages to include quotes, technical specs, drawings, and statement of work
Scanning/copying of procurement packages
Working with receiving to resolve quantity/item discrepancies upon receipt
Answering data calls and performing research
Coordinating with vendors and suppliers for quotes, expected delivery dates and other info related to purchase requests and orders

Will be expected to effectively communicate with all levels of BAE Systems, Maritime Solutions staff, including Engineering, Production, Testing, Administrative, and Project Management, as well as outside entities, such as Government agencies, commands, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM), etc.

This position is located in scenic and historic Southern Maryland in St. Mary's County, near to the Patuxent River Naval Air Station.

There is no monetary relocation assistance budgeted for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to St. Mary's County, Maryland or surrounding areas.



Required Education, Experience, & Skills
High School diploma and at least one year of related experience
Proficient typing skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to move quickly between tasks / assignments
Experience working with MS Office products
Ability to obtain/maintain a security clearance if required

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Aptitude to quickly learn, fully understand, and effectively use: vendor websites, Logiquest - NSN research tools, etc.

Competence at a demonstrated level of proficiency and experience with Adobe software products (Acrobat Reader and Adobe Professional)
