Responsibilities
- Provide patient care under the direct supervision of the Physician and the Registered Nurse.
- Demonstrate responsibility and accountability in selecting, assembling, testing, and operating equipment and instruments in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Responsible and accountable in performing as a primary scrub person handling the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during surgical procedures and vaginal deliveries while applying principles of sterile technique.
- Contribute to expected patient outcomes in accordance with policies, procedures, established standards, and administrative policies.
- Take call (30-minute response time).
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- Graduate from an accredited Surgical Technology Training Program.
- NBSTSA Certified Surgical Tech (for Certified only - upon hire)
- Active Basic Life Support Certification
Preferred Job Requirements:
- One year of Labor and Delivery Surgical Tech experience or three years of Operating Room experience
