The Provider Services Specialist (PSS) must be able to perform each essential duties satisfactorily in the volume required by the program. The PSS recruits new child care providers on a time based (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual) volume. The PSS builds nurturing relationships with past, current and future providers while ensuring quality and customer satisfaction expectations are met. The PSS serves as a bridge between providers and eligibility staff.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepares and maintains updated paperwork for all records within the time frames specified by the Texas Workforce Commission and Board area directives, policies and procedures.
- Updates The Workforce Information System of Texas.
- Conducts monitoring of providers to ensure compliance with contractual regulations, and provides technical assistance as needed.
- Conducts follow up visits on service improvement agreements.
- Follows unit procedures and guidelines and participates in meetings and other events to increase understanding of the Workforce Solutions system.
- Works closely with the designated staff in developing inclusion plans with providers caring for children with disabilities.
- Works to resolve problems related to provider contracts and works well with management staff, account representatives and intake eligibility specialists to resolve provider complaints and issues.
- Insures provider files contain all the required documents pertaining to the service agreements, tax forms, deposit forms, state licenses.
- Collaborates with other Child Care Services staff to enhance program operations.
- Identifies and documents process improvement opportunities.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned.
